Head of the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader at the University of Kurdistan:

Active Participation of Academics in Arbaeen Must Be Facilitated

The Head of the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader at the University of Kurdistan emphasized the necessity of facilitating the participation of students and academics in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, stating that directing a portion of Arbaeen's capacities and resources toward student mawkibs (service stations) can significantly bolster this presence.

According to the Public Relations of the University of Kurdistan, Hojjat-ol-Islam Abedin Rostami spoke on Sunday, July 19, 2026, during a coordination meeting for Arbaeen programs and the Commemoration of Martyrs. Addressing university officials and relevant departments, he underscored the importance of strengthening the role of the academic community in Arbaeen, asserting that efforts must be made to allocate a share of the established capacities and credits for Arbaeen to student-led initiatives.

He further noted that everyone should serve as a promoter of the Arbaeen culture, adding: "If our perspective on Arbaeen is not a civilizational one, we will lose our way and fail to integrate many of our potential capacities."

The official described Arbaeen as a vital capacity for the Islamic world, stating: "Today, many of the Islamic world's strengths are formed through the path of Arbaeen, and the greatest fear of the global hegemony and arrogance stems from this very capacity."

In conclusion, Hojjat-ol-Islam Rostami reiterated the need to facilitate the presence of elites, academics, and students in Arbaeen, stating that the continuous and active participation of the academic community—both within and outside the province, and even within Iraq—will be an effective step in advancing this movement.
