Agreement Between the University of Kurdistan and the Ministry of Petroleum to Equip Laboratories and Enhance Student Welfare through Oil Industry Social Responsibilities

According to the University of Kurdistan Public Relations office, the session took place on February 3 (14 Bahman) at the Ministry of Petroleum headquarters, centered on the expansion of scientific and welfare infrastructure. The primary objective of this meeting was to secure industrial support within the framework of the Ministry’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to bolster the synergy between the university and the nation's major industries.

During the session, university officials presented a comprehensive report detailing scientific capacities, ongoing research projects, and existing challenges in developing laboratory and welfare facilities. Furthermore, they emphasized the university's potential for collaborative ventures with the Ministry's subsidiaries in research and technology.

The Deputy Minister for Planning commended the scientific dynamism of the University of Kurdistan and expressed the Ministry's readiness to facilitate university growth through targeted projects. He underscored the Ministry's commitment to enhancing laboratory equipment relevant to the oil and petrochemical industries, as well as improving student welfare environments. The meeting concluded with an agreement to submit two operational plans—one for educational-research laboratory equipment and another for student welfare infrastructure—for final review and funding before the year-end.
