Meeting of the Director of International Affairs with the Faculty Council of Humanities and Social Sciences

According to the Office of International Affairs, as part of the ongoing interactive initiatives by the University of Kurdistan’s International Affairs Management to monitor and enhance the status of international students, a joint meeting was held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences on Sunday, July 12, 2026 (Tir 21, 1405).

The meeting was convened upon the official invitation of Dr. Bakhtiar Javaheri, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with the participation of Dr. Hossein Bevrani, Director of International Affairs, and Dr. Hemen Noorbakhsh, Director of International Students.

At the commencement of the session, attended by vice-deans, heads of academic departments, and council members, Dr. Javaheri emphasized the significance of addressing the specific academic and cultural requirements of non-Iranian students.

Subsequently, Dr. Bevrani expressed his gratitude for the faculty's proactive approach. He extended his sincere appreciation to the leadership, faculty members, and staff for their tireless efforts in the successful advancement of admission, education, and advisory processes for international students, describing the role of academic departments as pivotal to the university's internationalization project.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to an exchange of views, diagnostic analysis, and collective deliberation. During this segment, department heads and vice-deans shared their perspectives, outlined existing challenges in the education of non-Iranian students, and offered practical recommendations to improve the quality of services provided to them.

In conclusion, the Director of International Affairs addressed the questions and concerns raised by the faculty members. He underscored the necessity of sustained bilateral cooperation and synergy between the International Affairs Management and the faculties, thanking the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for its collaboration and solidarity in fostering the university's international engagements.
