Representative of the Supreme Leader in Kurdistan: Universities are Hubs for Honoring Human Dignity

The Representative of the Supreme Leader in Kurdistan Province emphasized that universities and the Basij are centers for recognizing human status, stating: "In universities, faculty members—particularly Basiji professors—serve as role models and pioneering figures in society, a fact that warrants serious attention."

According to the Public Relations office of the University of Kurdistan, Hojatoleslam wal-Muslimin Abdolreza Pourzahabi spoke today, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, during a faculty empowerment and knowledge-enhancement seminar held at the Molavi Hall of the University of Kurdistan. He emphasized the necessity of "era-making" in the present age, asserting: "Professors and university presidents must be era-makers, imparting sublime scientific and humanistic concepts to their students."

Reflecting on the historical and influential character of Martyr Chamran, he added: "The Leader of Iran, in describing Martyr Chamran, characterized him as a scientist, a true Basiji, an ascetic, a seeker of God, and a man of prayer, maintaining that universities should deliver individuals like Martyr Chamran to society."

According to Hojatoleslam Pourzahabi, the Leader's description of Martyr Chamran and the point that universities must produce such figures demonstrate the Leader's special regard for the standing of university professors.
